Abstract Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy analysis of thoracolumbar fractures were treated by vertebral single segment and across the injured vertebra short segment fixation treatment. Method: 70 thoracolumbar fracture patients in our hospital were randomly divided into observation servation group( treated by vertebral single segment fixation treatment) and control group( with short segment fixation across the injured vertebra), and were observed and compared between the two groups before and after operation of operation treatment satisfaction, sagittal Cobb angle, injury vertebral front height changes, postoperative follow-up corrective and follow-up of loss. Result: The postoperative follow-up found that patients of the two groups after the sagittal Cobb angle decreased, and the vertebral front height increases, but the patients in the observation group were improved significantly than that of the control group( P<0.05). Two groups with sagittal Cobb angle, vertebral height of anterior surgical correction was not significantly different. The observation group patients were followed up for sagittal Cobb angle, vertebral front height loss degree were significantly lower than the control group( P<0.05). Conclusion: The vertebral single segment fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar fractures of the clinical efficacy is significant, which can effectively restore the sagittal Cobb angle, vertebral height, also can reduce postoperative loss of correction, worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice.
