Abstract Objective:To explore the expression and significance of IL-22 in HBV related liver diseases.Method:Whole vein blood was obtained from healthy control(HC)(n=25)and experimental groups including thepatients with asymptomatic carrier(ASC)(n=30),chronic hepatitis B(CHB)(n=40),liver cirrhosis(LC)(n=45),hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(n=30).The level of serum IL-22 were analysed by ELISA.Statistical analysis of the relevance of IL-22 levels and AFP was performed.Result:IL-22 level in the CHB group,LC group, and the HCC group were higher than that in the healthy control( P=0.010,0.003,0.000).IL-22 levels had no correlation with AFP.Conclusion:IL-22 may contributed to the occurrence and the development of liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
