Abstract Objective：To analyze the causes of inpatient drug withdrawal of our hospital， and to discuss the method of decreasing medicine return.Method：A total of 589 drug withdrawal application since January to June 2014 were analyzed according to the causes， department and medication types of drug return.Result：The patients refused to use was the main cause of drug withdrawal， the frequency was higher in medicine department than in surgical department，anti microbial drugs were in the first place of returned medication because of higher utilization and more adverse reactions. Conclusion：Formulate strict drug withdrawal management system in hospital pharmacy， strengthen communication between medical staff and patients， improve patients compliance with medication.
