Abstract Objective：To summarize the application of PCNL on complex renal calculus treatment. Method：253 patients with complex kidney stones during the period from October 2006 to August 2014 were analyzed. The patients were treated with the method of percutaneous nephrolithotomy. The operation skills，the complications of surgery and the corresponding treatment measures were summarized. Result：Patients were all cured，and 55 cases were fever of postoperative，after anti-infection treatment cured；10 cases of blood transfusion，2 cases of massive hemorrhage，14 cases of pleural effusion，and 4 cases of seroperitoneum. Conclusion： PCNL is the effective method for kidney stones，when there is difficulty through established channels，Multi-tract PCNL without increased incidence rate of bleeding or infection，which deserves a wider application.
