Abstract Objective: To investigate and analyze the conditions of prophylactic antibacterials used in patients undergoing type I incision operation in 2013 of a hospital, and to provide reference for rational antibacterials use in clinical. Method: According to the claim of“ the notice on the relevant problems about clinical application and
management of antibacterial” by the ministry of health, the rationality of prophylactic antibacterials used in 585 patients undergoing type I incision operation in 2013 of the hospital were statistical analyzed. Result: In 585 patients undergoing type I incision operation, there were 92 cases used prophylactic antibacterial, accounted for 15.73%, in which 108 cases of cataract surgery 54 cases had used prophylactic antibacterial, accounted for 50%. In using time of prophylactic
antibacterial usage, the ratio of the patients who unused antibacterial before operation but used them after operation were high to 82.61%. The ratio of the irrational medicine selection were high too, in which roxithromycin dispersible tablets used as prophylactic antibacterial were high to 76.09%.Conclusion: The main problems of a hospital I type incision antibacterial prophylaxis use are that part of type I incision surgery prophylaxis pointer are too wide, medicine selection
and administration time unreasonable.The hospital should further strengthen supervision, and improve the staffs training for rational antibacterial use, in order to make full use of antibacterial properties and reduce the appearance of the drug resistant bacteria.
