Abstract Objective： To investigate the effect of targeted nursing for children with severe pneumonia. Method：158 cases of children with severe pneumonia were admitted to our hospital from April 2013 to January 2014 period， were randomly divided into two groups， the control group of 78 cases，were treated routine care measures，the observe group of 80 cases， were treated targeted treatments.The efficacy of two groups patients， the incidence of complications and the care satisfaction scores were analysed and compared.Result：The incidence of complications of the observation group（6.3%） was significantly lower than the control group（19.2%），the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The cure rate of the observation group was also significantly higher than the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.There was no significant differences of SAS psychological anxiety scores of the two group.The nurses attitude， responsibility， business proficiency and satisfaction of the observation group of were higher than the control group，the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion：For children with severe pneumonia， on the basis of scientific and effective therapy， targeted care， not only can significantly reduce
the mortality of patients， but also can shorten the patient hospitalization time， play speed up the recovery process and effectively enhance the therapeutic effect of purpose ， and is conducive to enhance the quality of life of patients and patient satisfaction with hospital care， is worthy of further promotion.
