Abstract Objective: To observe the influence on the medication adherence of family steering chemotherapy management for the patients with initial smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis, and analyze its clinical effect. Method: 300 patients with initial smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis were randomly divided into 2 groups,150 cases in each group. Routine management group patients were treated with normal management, and family steering chemotherapy management group patients were treated with family steering chemotherapy management on the basis of routine management. The medication compliance rate and cure rate of two groups were compared. Result: The compliance rate of family medication of steering chemotherapy management group was obviously higher than that of routine management group, the difference was statistically significant( 字2=9.549,P<0.05). The cure rate of family steering chemotherapy management group was obviously higher than that of routine management group, the difference was statistically significant ( 字2=9.959,P<0.05). Conclusion: Family steering chemotherapy management could obviously increase the medication compliance and curative rate of initial smear-positive tuberculosis patients, reduce the generation of drug-resistant mycobacterium tuberculosis, and effectively promote tuberculosis patients’ rapid recovery.
