Abstract As one kinds of thyroid cancer， differentiated thyroid cancer mainly includes papillary and follicular thyroid cancer. Progress has been made in the treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer， with a good prognosis. However，recurrence has been found in some patients， which finally threatens to their life. Serum thyroglobulin levels can be used as an important indicator for postoperation of differentiated thyroid cancer. The physical and chemical properties of thyroglobulin， clinical testing methods and the relationship between thyroglobulin and prognosis were summarized in this review， which will offer clinical reference for accurately determining prognosis of differentiated thyroid cancer.
