Abstract Objective:To investigate the value of 40% iodized oil parotid duct infusion for chronic parotitis.Method:80 cases with chronic mumps in our hospital from January 2011 to June 2014 were choosed, all patients were confirmed by clinical and pathological biopsy, and then all patients were randomly divided into two groups according random number, 40 cases in each group.The observation group were used 40% iodized oil angiography and treatment,the control group were used only the total amount of injection of 3-5 mL of 76% diatrizoate,then the adverse events and clinical diagnosis between the two groups during the treatment were compared.Result:The observation group during the treatment with parotid gland swelling, severe pain, and increase the proportion of mumps disease were lower than control group, the observation group with clinical diagnosis was higher than control group,the recovery rate was higher than control group,the inefficient of observation group was higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:40% iodized oil parotid duct infusion for chronic parotitis has simple operation and good angiography revealed,it is nontoxic and it also has a therapeutic effect.
