Abstract Objective:To investigate the effect of noninvasive ventilation in pations with acute respiratory failure of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Method:The patients were divided into two groups:mild and restructuring, according to the severity of respiratory failure and results of blood gas analysis. The treatments were the application of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation mask fixation and conventional treatment.Blood gas analysis of
the arterial were checked in 0,0.5,1,24 hour in time of treatment.Result:In mild group:it had significant difference between 0 hour and 0.5,1,24 hour in time of treatment in the heart rate, respiratory frequency,pH value(P<0.05);and significant difference in PaO2,PaCO2,oxygenation index(P<0.01).In restructuring group:it had no significant difference between 0 hour and 0.5,1,24 hour in time of treatment in the heart rate, respiratory frequency,pH value (P>0.05);and significant difference in PaO2,PaCO2,oxygenation index(P<0.01).Conclusion:Noninvasive ventilation can effective treat mild respiratory failure of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in addition to the routine treatment.
