Abstract Objective：To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） nursing pathway on stroke depression.Method：Randomly selected 200 cases stroke depression patients from 2012 to 2013，100 cases each year，patients in 2012 were set as the control group，they received routine care only，patients in 2013 were set as observer group，they were received TCM nursing intervention on the basis of usual care. The depression score and Barthel index between the two groups after nursing intervented were compared. Result：（ 1）The HAMD scores in observer group after two weeks， four weeks， eight weeks were significantly lower than the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.（2）The Barthel index in observer groupafter nursing intervented improved more than the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion：The effect of TCM nursing path on stroke depression is prominent，it’sworthy of clinical application.
