Investigation and Analysis of the Level and Influencing Factors of General Self-efficacy in Ovarian Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy |

Abstract Objective:To learn the level of general self-efficacy and its influencing factors in ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and explore the possible countermeasures to improve self-efficacy.Method:82 cases of ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy from a certain hospital of Shanxi selected as research objects by using convenience sampling method were investigated by a general patient questionnaire and the general self-efficacy scale,then their general self-efficacy levels and influencing factors were analyzed.Result:Mean score of general self-efficacy of 82 cases of ovarian cancer patients
undergoing chemotherapy was( 23.40±6.46),of which only 17 cases(20.73%) showed a high level of self-efficacy.The level of self-efficacy of patients with different age,permanent residence,education level,family income,clinical stage of disease,course of the disease,chemotherapy times was statistically significant.Conclusion:Ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy had a low level of General Self-efficacy,so when develop nursing interventions and do patient follow-up,nurses should assess the level of general self-efficacy in patients,also should looking for possible influencing factors and supply appropriate interventions to improve self-efficacy.
