Expression and Significance of CK5/6,CK8/18,SMA,P63,ER in Breast Introductal Proliferative Lesions |

Abstract Objective:To study expression and significance of CK5/6,CK8/18,SMA,P63,ER in introductal proliferative lesions( IDPL) of the breast.Method:A total of 150 breast IDPL specimens collected from the Department of Pathology of Xiaogan Central Hospital between 2003 and 2013 were tested,including usual ductal hyperplasia( UDH) in 21,flat epithelial atypia( FEA) in 46,atypical ductal hyperplasia( ADH) in 51,and ductal carcinoma in situ( DCIS) in 32( all low-garde).The expression of CK5/6,CK8/18,SMA,P63,ER were detected by immunohistochemical EnVision method.Result:The positive expression of CK5/6 in UDH group was significantly higher than that in ADH group,DCIS group and FEA group( P<0.05).That in ADH group was higher than that in DCIS group and FEA group( P<0.05).The differences were not significant between DCIS group and FEA group.The expression of CK8/18 in all cases showed no positive expression in basal and showed positive expression in luminal that in UDH group,FEA group,ADH group,DCIS group was not significantly different. The positive expression of SMA and P63 was Continuous in basal.That in UDH group,FEA group,ADH group,DCIS group was not significantly different.There were not positive expression in luminal in FEA group,ADH group and DCIS group,only showed a few scattered positive expression in UDH group( positive cell <5%).The expression of ER in UDH group compared with in FEA group,ADH group and DCIS group,there was significantly different( P<0.05).That in FEA group,ADH group,DCIS group was not significantly different.Conclusion:The combined detection of CK5/6,CK8/18,SMA,P63,ER is helpful to pathological diagnosis and differential diagnosis of breast proliferative lesions.
