Abstract The authors search all the nursing patents from 1985 to 2013 in Shan Xi province by retrieving the patent database of CNKI and searching the websites of State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C，SooPAT and patentstar，the overall situation of application，the annual filings，regional distribution situation，legal status of patents，the patentee distribution and technology classification of patents are statistically analyzed.It will provide theoretical reference for production and application of achievements in nursing scientific research in Shan Xi province.
