Observation on Effect of Acupuncture Treatment for Peripheral Facial Paralysis |

Abstract Objective:To use acupuncture treatment for facial paralysis disease, in order to improve the treatment of the disease.Method:From April 2013 to April 2014, 80 patients with peripheral facial paralysis were selected and randomly divided into two groups, acupuncture treatment group( 40 cases) and acupuncture control group( 40 cases).The patients accepted 0.3 mm × 50 mm cents acupuncture points for each patient, and then get gas to fill every interval of 10 minutes flat-reducing way line pin 1, and the needle 30 times, then on Shimonoseki, Yifeng two acupuncture points simultaneously, until the local variable flush so far.The acupuncture control group used purely acupuncture treatment, the method with acupuncture the same treatment
group, divided two groups of acupuncture treatments for a course of treatment 16 times a day acupuncture 1, after completing a course of a day of rest, sustained two courses of treatment.The two groups were compared by Prommnn HB evaluation system.Result:The cured rate and markedly effective rate of the acupuncture treatment group was 54.21%, 85.46%, respectively, while that of the acupuncture control group was 34.52%, 55.48%, there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Also, the patient symptom scores compared between the two groups showed statistically significant difference( P<0.05).Symptom score and HB facial nerve function classification after treatment compared between the two groups showed statistically significant difference( P<0.05), but no before.Markedly effective time compared between the two groups showed statistically significant difference( P<0.05), too.Conclusion:According to the theory of Chinese medicine treatment, acupuncture treatment effect is significant, also effectively prevent the emergence and impact-related complications and side effects, especially for aspects of the patient’s symptoms, the cure rate, markedly effective rate has a significant role, while economic, convenient features also make it easy to broader clinical application.
