Abstract Objective:To explore the ocular surface manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus patients.Method:26 patients who were confirmed with systemic lupus erythematosus in our hospital from April 2014 to December 2014 were selected as the SLE group,20 patients from the ophthalmology clinic outpatient who had no systemic lupus erythematosus were selected as the control group. The ocular surface manifestations of the SLE patients was compared with that of the control group(20 cases)through cornea fluorescein staining,Schirmer test and test of tear film breaking up time.Result:Compared with the control group, the mean BUT of the SLE group was significantly shorter(t=2.62,P<0.05),the value of Schirmer Ⅰ test of the SLE group was significantly lower(t=2.62,P<0.05)and the positive rate of cornea fluorescein staining of the SLE group was significantly higher. Conclusion:Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus show a tendency to have changes of ocular surface state. They are susceptible population of dry eyes.Corneal fluorescein staining,Schimer Ⅰ test and tear film breaking up time test help to find abnormal changes of ocular surface state of SLE patients.
