Abstract Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of biotype total hip replacement for patients with femoral head necrosis and femoral neck fracture.Method:Cases with femoral head necrosis and femoral neck fracture in our hospital 2010 February to 2012 February were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, treatment group underwent biotype total hip replacement, control group underwent artificial femoral head replacement, compared with the clinical efficacy and safety of two groups.Result:Operation time,intra-operative bleeding volume of treatment group were larger than those of control group, postoperative drainage, hospitalization time less than those of control group, the difference was statistically significant( P<0.05).The two group patients were followed up for 16-24 months( 20.7±2.5) months, the Harris score of treatment group was superior to that of control group, the difference had statistical significance( P<0.05),postoperative complications of the two groups included wound fat liquefaction, deep vein thrombosis, prosthesis dislocation, infection, pulmonary infection. The incidence of prosthesis dislocation and wound infection was lower than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant( P<0.05),there was no significant difference in other complications after operation between two groups. Conclusion:Biotype total hip replacement in treatment of patients with femoral head necrosis and femoral neck fracture has a characteristic of good long-term curative effect, high safety, quickly functional recovery, and it has important reference value.
