Abstract Objective:To compare the clinical effect between improved vaginal hysterectomy and abdominal hysterectomy for uterine benign lesions.Method:40 patients with non-prolapsed uterus lesions were randomly divided into the observation group and control group,20 cases in each group. The patients in the observation group were cured by improved vaginal hysterectomy while those in the control group were cured by abdominal hysterectomy. The time of operation, amount of bleeding in operation, passage of gas by anus, pain after operation, length of stay and complication after operation of the two groups were respectively compared.Result:The average time of operation, amount of bleeding in operation, incidence of surgical complications, passage of gas by anus, active time and average length of stay of the patients in the observation group were better than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Improved vaginal hysterectomy has an advantage over abdominal hysterectomy with shorter time of operation, less bleeding, lower incidence of surgical complications, physical recovery faster, less expense and no scars of the surface. It is safe with excellent operation result so that it is worth popularizing in clinical application.
