Impact of Participatory Health Education in Pregnancy Maternal with Diabetes on Blood Glucose and Health Behavior |

Abstract Objective:To explore the impact of participatory health education in pregnancy maternal with diabetes. Method:120 cases with gestational diabetes were selected in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2014 and were randomly divided into observation group and control group,60 cases in each group.The fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose,health behavior and incidence of complications of patients in the two groups after admission and postpartum 42 d were compared.Result:The levels of fasting blood glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose in the observation group after admission and postpartum 42 d were lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The health behaviors included attending lectures,diet control,exercise,weight management,monitoring of blood glucose and incidence of breast feeding in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant( P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The participatory health education mode on gestational diabetes mellitus pregnant women,can significantly improve the health behavior,control blood sugar during pregnancy and postpartum,reduce the maternal and fetal complications,and is worthy of clinical application.
