Abstract Objective:To investigate the effect of intrathecal injection of magnesium sulfate on abdominalpanhysterectomy.Method:64 women undergoing abdominal panhysterectomy were randomly divided into observationgroup and control group with 32 cases each.2.5 mL(12.5 mg) of bupivacaine+0.5 mL(25 mg) fentanyl+0.5 mLphysiological saline were injected into subarachnoid administration in control group.2.5 mL( 12.5 mg) of bupivacaine+0.5 mL(25 mg) fentanyl +0.5 mL(100 mg)magnesium sulfate were injected into intrathecal in treatment group.Somaticsensory block, motor block begins occurrence time and duration, duration of analgesia and adverse reaction were observedin two groups.Result:Sensory and motor block start time and duration of analgesia in the treatment group was significantlylonger than that of the control group, there was statistically significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05).But the duration of motor block and the incidence of side effects was no statistically significant differencein thetwo groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Intrathecal injection of 100 mg Magnesium sulfate can not increase in the incidence of side effects case duration prolonged analgesia. At the same time, can prolong the starting time of sensory and motor block
