Abstract Objective: To evaluate the value of hepatic artery infusion pump chemotherapy for the prevention of
liver metastasis after radical resection of colon cancer. Method: According to the different treatment methods, 33 cases without liver, lung, brain metastasis of distant organs in patients with colon cancer were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group was treated with chemotherapy by hepatic artery infusion pump, while the control group underwent peripherally inserted central catheter chemotherapy, and the survival time without liver metastasis was compared. Result: In the treatment group, the average survival time without liver metastasis was( 24.2±4.3)months, while in the control group, the average survival time without liver metastasis was( 16.6±2.0) months. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups. The survival curves of the two groups by the endpoint of liver metastasis had statistically significant difference( Log-Rank 字2=25.085,P=0.000). Conclusion: Compared with the conventional intravenous chemotherapy, hepatic artery infusion pump chemotherapy after radical resection of colon cancer can effectively delay the liver metastasis after radical resection of colorectal cancer, and is a modus operandi for the prevention of liver metastases from colorectal cancer.
